Adding a little sparkle

Have you ever been the recipient of another person's random kindness? 

A couple of days back I read a blog of a mom who celebrated her birthday by doing 35 random acts of kindness. Kudos to her! I was extremely impressed and it also got me thinking on how wonderful the world would be if we take out time for at least one act of kindness every day. It could be as simple as thank you note to someone who helped you in the past or a smile to the person sitting next to you in the bus.

And why wait for a birthday or a Christmas…let’s get started right away.

Farewell

 

As I prepare for my last day with Wipro, I take with me a whole lot of memories.

I will cherish each and every moment I spent here. I can still remember the nervousness I felt on my first day. The sprawling campuses, the ocean of employees, the achievements at work and a lil bit of occasional disappointments, the thrill of working to meet the never ending deadlines and still finding the time to catch up for some vada-pav and tea.

So here’s to 4 wonderful years full of learning, new experiences, friends and the future.

Spa for the Soul

Sometimes all it takes is experiencing nothingness, to make us realize how complete we are.

Let the mind become quiet and its constant chatter stop for a while. That is when happiness emerges from the inside.

I love cupcakes

My new learning for the month is baking. My first attempt was an amazingly simple apple crumble pie recipe from Edible Garden.
The second attempt (today) was cup cakes. Though they ended up resembling cookies (hence rechristened as cookie-cakes..hehe), they tasted yummy…so no complaints! :D

Birthday surprise

Last week was my first birthday post marriage and it was just FANTABULOUS !

Hubby showered me with lovely gifts throughout the week and then whisked me off on a vacation to Waynad (Kerala, India). On the birthday night at the stroke of midnight, he surprised me with a lovely cake. Surrounded by jungle, the sound of a waterfall in the background and hubby singing birthday songs…it was the loveliest birthday ever.

Missing my in-laws

My in-laws were with us for the past 3 months and today they left for Vizag. And both of us miss them not being around. The house feels terribly empty. I hope they come back soon.

Each day brings so much of happiness packed within it. But unfortunately we sometimes just fail to stop and savor them.
This blog is my attempt to capture some of the many such moments I've been blessed with and get amazed at how this joy magically doubles and triples every time I notice itJ
